Are you including seafood in your families diet at least twice a week? That is what is recommended by the Dietary Guidelines and MyPlate.gov. I did try to at least once a week but it used to get hard to come up with different dishes. I am happy to report that I have found an easy and delicious way to finally achieve this!

Gorton’s Seafood has been in business since 1849 and has been applying their guiding philosophy “The Gorton’s Way” throughout the company- From believing in their Crew to their sustainability practices, to their superior quality and safety of their seafood. Not only is their seafood delicious, but they make it easy to incorporate it into your weekly menu by offering a variety of award winning recipes on The Gordon’s Gallery.

I do have to admit that I never purchased seafood from the frozen section. I always bought fish at the seafood counter and took it home to prepare one of a couple different dishes that I knew and my family would eat. So when I received the coupons from Gorton’s to try 3 of their products I was hesitant. However I decided to be open minded and give it a try.

The first thing that surprised me was the variety of products to choose from. Not only was there tons of products, but they all looked good. I am not sure how I missed these products all this time. In the end I decided on Gorton’s Beer Battered Tenders, Butterfly Shrimp and Garlic & Herb Fillets.

All three products were a HUGE hit with my family, especially the Garlic & Herb Fillets. The only criticism I got was that there wasn’t enough. Next time I will have to buy two boxes. I am not sure what I like the best, serving a delicious and healthy meal or how easy the preparation and clean up was. I would strongly recommend adding Gorton’s Seafood to your diet.
