As a Human Resource Associate, at our Gloucester, Massachusetts headquarters, you will leverage your prior business experience to contribute to a wide variety of Human Resource initiatives. Your responsibilities will include contributing to various HR activity initiatives and providing HR support to assigned functional areas within our business. Involvement will include actively contributing to activities such as recruitment, training and development, leveraging technology to streamline administrative processes, internal communications, benefits and compensation management, employee relations and other areas. Over time, you will be given greater responsibility in the development and implementation of human resource initiatives to help support the growth of our business through the recruitment, development and retention of highly talented employees. You will be expected to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams made up of individuals in other disciplines. The goal of this assignment is to develop a talented individual for greater responsibility in Human Resources within Gorton’s.
 
Qualifications include:
 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level education in a business discipline
  • 1 to 3 years of business work experience (prefer supervisory experience)
  • Solid foundation of Human Resource specific functional knowledge (acquired through education or experience)
  • Well developed leadership and influence skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong creative skills<
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications especially MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Negotiations skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive and resilience
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
