Quality and Sanitation Technician - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

Provide leadership and consistency for all facility quality and sanitation activities in the processing operation. Position will require frequent rotational weekend coverage. Position reports to the Plant Quality and Sanitation Manager.
 
Accountabilities
 
·         Verify activities of QC Techs: ensure compliance w/Gorton’s U.S. and global food safety standards.
·         Provide QC support to Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance: Audit/verify SOP’s and document corrective actions.
·         Supervise, audit, and verify the daily activities of Sanitation Coordinators, Facility Cleaners, Back Dock Personnel, and Certified Sanitarians and provide performance feedback.
·         Perform daily sanitation monitoring checklists (FDA & Chemical Concentration/Titration), GMP and other audits. Ensure Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures are being executed.
·         Manage sanitation personnel and assign tasks during all sanitation events.
·         Assist with weekend sanitation activities to include staffing, pre-operational inspections, sanitation effectiveness monitoring, and related documentation.
 
Qualifications
 
·         Bachelors in Business or Science
·         3-5 years of experience in food quality and sanitation
·         HACCP certification preferred
·         Highly-motivated self-starter with solid PC skills
·         Strong leadership/problem solving skills
·         Strong organizational and well-developed communication skills
