My two nieces, ages 8 and 6, come to visit every week. When the 8-year-old announced she hated fish, I had to get creative in how to serve dinner. I invented a game to tell us how we are going to eat our kid-friendly fish sticks that night. I created a game board made of a wheel, with an inside and an outside ring, and two spinning arrows. The outside ring tells us if we are going to eat the fish sticks with pasta, in a hot dog bun, plain, pigs-(fish)-in-a-blanket style, with rice, with couscous, or in a taco. The inside ring tells us which sauce will be served with it - marinara, ranch, tartar, chili, salsa, sweet & sour, or BBQ. We've had some pretty interesting meals, but this is precisely why the girls love it. It's a different meal every time, and they got to spin for it. They have yet to find a combination they don't like. Try it with your picky eater!
