The Company

If I was lost at sea, the Gorton’s item I would want to have with me is:  Popcorn Shrimp – it’s simple, filling, and can be eaten as a meal or snack all by itself.

Gorton’s reeled me in: By demonstrating their dedication to their people and products.

I live it up on the weekends by: Hanging out with friends in Boston or on Cape Cod.

Red Sox or Yankees? Red Sox of course!

If the Fisherman called in sick, the celeb that could stand in for him would be: George Clooney or Richard Gere

I stay active by:  Incorporating some form of exercise into my life 3-5 times a week.  One of my favorite classes at the gym is kickboxing – it’s fun and is a great way to workout.  I also enjoy running or walking along the Charles River in Boston – it’s absolutely beautiful in the Spring, Summer & Fall.

I’m hooked on: Gorton’s Skillet Crisp Garlic & Herb Tilapia, because it has a craveable taste that I can’t resist.  I love to eat it with mac & cheese and a leafy green salad.
 
Ketchup or Tartar Sauce?  Ketchup on Fish Sticks and Tartar Sauce on Fillets.
 
I Trust the Gorton’s Fisherman because: After 160 years, he is still around bringing high quality seafood products to consumers.
 
I am reminded I work on an island when:  I look out my window and see the ocean, boats and seagulls.
 
My favorite thing about America’s oldest fishing port is: In the summer, going to the beach after work on Fridays and then to a clam shack for dinner.
 
I live it up on the weekends by:  Taking my son to his soccer games, hockey games, lacrosse games, baseball games, swimming lessons, tennis lessons …
 
The craziest thing I’ve ever done:  Skydiving or eloping in Vegas – it’s a toss up!

I am reminded I work on an island when: I breathe the wonderful salty air and drive over the two bridges that enable us to get on and off the island.

Words I live by: Be quick to listen and careful when speaking and slow to anger and quick to forgive.

The first thing I do when I get home from work is: Spend as much time with my family as possible.

My favorite travel spot is: Camping up in Maine and New Hampshire.

I stay active by: Mountain biking and snowboarding

My home port is: Good Old Gloucester, Massachusetts 

I’m hooked on: Gorton’s Haddock Fish sticks because they are delicious.

The ports I have visited along my career voyage include: Customer Finance, Distribution, Maintenance, Production, Quality Control & Sanitation

My favorite thing about America’s oldest fishing port is: The sense of community.

When I am not fishing, I'm: Golfing

I stay active by: Living with a very active 2 year old.

Let me tell you about my personal “Crew” (i.e. family/friends): Wife - Melissa, Daughter - Talia, New Addition on the way due in the fall of 2010, Cat - Lulu

I make a difference by:  Walking in the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 3 Day – I walk because I have too many friends/family members who cannot walk themselves.

If I could have dinner with three people, past or present, they would be: I would love to have 6 - Carl Yastremski, Larry Bird and Bobby Orr together with Mike Lowell, Wes Welker and Rajon Rondo – being a sports nut, I would love to hear what they think of the Boston Sports Fan through different decades and sports.

The craziest thing I’ve ever done: I try to stay away from crazy activities as much as possible. I have tried to surf some waves that I had no business trying to surf, and ate sand and salt water because of it.

If the fisherman called in sick, the celeb that could stand in for him would be: Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, she was the actress who was the Captain of the Hannah Boden boat in the movie “The Perfect Storm”. She seemed to be a better fisherman than George Clooney.

Let me tell you about my personal “Crew”:  I have been married to my beautiful wife Ann for two years. We are very close and enjoy all of the same activities together. I have no little ones yet, but I’m sure that time is coming soon enough.   Most of our friends live in the Boston area so we get to see them often.
