Conventional Oven:
UNCOOKED. KEEP FROZEN UNTIL READY TO COOK.
Remove fillets from packaging before cooking
1. Preheat oven to 425˚F.
2. Arrange on metal baking pan.
3. Bake 22-24 minutes total (Fully cook fish to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F or higher before serving). Flip after 14 minutes. Keep frozen.
INGREDIENTS: Cod fillets, breadcrumb coating, vegetable oil.

Cod, water, sodium tripolyphosphate (to retain fish moisture).
Breadcrumb coating
Wheat flour, water, yellow corn flour, sugar, salt, whey, baking powder (baking soda, sodium aluminum phosphate), yeast, maltodextrin, lemon juice solids, citric acid, dehydrated garlic, natural flavor, spices.
Vegetable oil
Canola and/or soybean oil

As with all companies that have shareholders driving the cost of manufacture down to maximize return profits at the cost of quality, they too will implode. But not before the chief stockholders make off with a fortune.. leaving only the smoking wreckage of what was once a proud company that you could count on for quality and value. But they are now no different than the rest. A meeting was held that you were the least important topic in that discussion. The topic was money. And how they could sell you a worse product so they could get richer.
The picture on the box is blatant misrepresentation of what you actually get. The wording on the box is strategic. The actual fish filet is shameful. Shame on you Gortons. Shame on you. You know what you did... Here's the best part... I paid twice as much for this pathetic excuse for a fish fillet than the "whitefish" or "Pollock" which is literally a trash fish. It's such a terrible quality fish .. why do you think they try and cover up the low quality of it with "Parmesan and garlic"... Because it's the bottom of the barrel fish. I want cod. We all want cod. But with clever wording you okie doke the poor people who buy that Pollock into thinking it's almost cod.
Well here's the kicker.... Your actual cod isn't even almost cod either. Look at these pics of this disgrace.
How to make more money .. charge more.. use less or lower price materials... Cut workforce.... Only three ways it can be done. Well I'm not sure if they fired people but I wouldnt be surprised. I can tell you with a certainty that they charge more... Taking full advantage of the massive grocery price hike coup of 2023 and 2024... Never returning prices to pre- "inflation" levels. They price for this box of fish is 44.2% higher than it was on this same day 2 years ago. Why? Can you tell us? Is it still "inflation"... Smh. And as an added spit in the face they made the fillets smaller in total weight and the weight of the product you sell us is less fish.... More cheap breading. I mean by an embarrassing amount. Two thirds of the total weight of all "fish fillets in this box is WHEAT, MILK, AND VEGETABLE OIL. ... TWO THIRDS OF IT.
AND YOU DO THIS TO FAMILIES WHO ONCE TRUSTED YOU AND YOUR NAME . THAT TRUST IS GONE. NOT OUR FAULT. YOURS. SOULLESS SELF ENVISIONED MASTERS OF INDUSTRY ... FOR THE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT THIS, SAW IT, AND THREW IT OUT, NEVER TO BUY YOUR SHAM PRODUCT AGAIN BUT DIDNT SAY A WORD OR LEAVE A REVIEW TELLING IT JUST LIKE IT IS ... ON BEHALF OF ALL OF THEM... GOODBYE.

I gave this 4 out of 5 stars because even though this tasted amazing, it wasn’t as good as the “Skillet Crisp Tilapia” that they discontinued or Gorton’s Fish Sandwich squares. It was still very good, just not my favorite Gorton’s product.

I decided to try something different and got the Crunchy Breaded Cod Fish Fillets. I cooked them in my air fryer, and they had a very nice crust on them. However, I didn't like the coating very much. I found it too dry and tasteless for me.. I tried it with tartar sauce, and that didn't help. I really liked the cod, though. I know that everyone has taste preferences, so this is my experience.

It would make a great dinner or snack as a side or appetizer. I like the versatility it brings. Best of all, it's ready, when you are. No prep and it's ready to go in the air fryer.

These breaded cod fillets irate a 4 out of 5 stars as I found them to be a premium product from Gordon's that was better than their regular yellow box options and although the servings were a little small overall the product was very good and premium in both the coding and the quality of the fish inside which looks to be a whole filet and not minced. The taste was very similar to the Culver's cod fish fillet sandwich that I've had several times at Culver's so it is on par as far as taste and texture and that goes for both the fish and the coating which although was a little bit more breaded on the Gorton's product was still excellent overall as it did not retain a lot of greasiness and did taste like homemade bread crumbs. I would have given this product a 5 out of five if the portions were just a little bigger because they are on the smaller side so if Gordon's could make this slightly bigger that would be a wonderful thing and I would buy this product over and over.
